On August 10th, Jerry Tindell will embark on an excursion into the
foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, South East of Fresno with
a ground crew, two drive teams and 15 lucky riders.
Our goal is to build off old traditions of true horsemanship and mulemanship in the back country preparing riders for new opportunities, safely. This back country camping ride will give participants a real taste of the old west trail ride.
On this ride, you will learn how to use our stock in an effective, educational fun way that will incorporate our ground work and riding fundamentals and allow us to apply this towards the use of back country travel. Learn how to properly manage your stock through national lands, which meadows, how long, LNT and more. Riding in the back country is a dream that dances in the minds of many of horse fanatic. But experts agree that there is a huge difference between riding your home trails and riding in the mountains.
