Tindell Horse & Mule School
Show Preparation Clinic

Many Tindell students have been successful showing their horses, particularly at the Western States Wild Horse and Burro Show in Reno. If you’ve thought of showing, but didn’t know where to get started this clinic is for you. If you’ve been showing, this is a great show season prep opportunity.

What to expect at this clinic: Using your Tindell groundwork to prep for the show ring; One-on-one coaching with proper show ring handling; Hands on experience working halter, showmanship, trail course and equine citizenship classes; Take home materials to assist in your at home preparation; and Participation in a mock showmanship and trail class with judge’s comments.

Clinic Schedule

Friday, July 9

AM – Identifying training needs through groundwork

PM – Applying groundwork principles to showing

AM – Working through trail courses in hand and under saddle

PM – Mock showmanship and trail class with opportunity for judge’s comments

• Available to green and under- saddle stock
• Open to yearlings and mares with foals
• Open to colts, but stallions only upon Jerry’s and Clinic Host approval
• Horse , mule or burro must be halter broke
• Familiarity with Tindell groundwork program helpful, but not essential

Stabling and limited dry camping available on site – lodging and food available within 10 miles of clinic location
